Quality and Compliance Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quality and Compliance Manager execute the day-to-day Quality operations including managing the development of policies and SOPs, administering compliance training, driving issue management (root cause analysis, CAPA, remediation) and supporting other work such as audits and client inquiries. The person in this position will work to continue to mature our QMS: tighten document control, elevate audit/inspection readiness, and apply lessons learned for continual improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance Training Program

  • Manage the training matrix, assign learning plans, track adherence, and escalate gaps.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure role-based training aligns with functional needs.
  • Integrate compliance-related training into the onboarding of new employees.
  • Support development and selection of learning modules.
  • Coordinate client-issued training programs with external client teams.

Policy, SOP & Document Control

  • Orchestrate the development, approval, versioning, and periodic review of controlled documents across functional teams.
  • Ensure consistency of documents and harmonize process references.
  • Maintain current and archived Policy & SOP document library.

Issue Management & CAPA

  • Lead discovery, documentation, and investigation of quality issues/deviations.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and define corrective/preventive actions.
  • Track remediation to closure with clear owners, due dates, and status visibility.
  • Assist with reporting quality & compliance metrics to senior leadership.

Audit & Inspection Readiness

  • Support planning and execution of internal and external audit coordination and documentation.
  • Maintain readiness artifacts including policies and SOPs, training records, and org charts.

Candidate Experience & Requirements

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business administration, or related fields.
  • 5–7 years in Quality/Compliance within life sciences, clinical research, digital health, or adjacent regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with QMS elements: document control, training, issue management/CAPAs, change control, and audits.
  • Working knowledge of GCP/ICH and/or ISO 9001; familiarity with privacy regulations preferred.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who is curious and loves to solve business challenges.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, identify and investigate them, and make recommendations to help resolve.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong collaborator.
  • Acts with integrity and does what’s best for the business and those we serve.
