ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr Director of Business Development will be responsible for the following:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Required:
- Meet/exceed quarterly and annual bookings quota for Jumo Health solutions.
- Prospect and develop new opportunities with pharma and biotech sponsors (and other target segments as applicable).
- Build and manage a territory/account plan: target list, whitespace analysis, outreach cadence, and coverage model.
- Run full-cycle sales: discovery, qualification, solution mapping, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
- Lead consultative discovery to uncover protocol, therapeutic area, site/patient burden, and enrollment challenges; partner with strategy team to translate into a tailored solution.
- Identify and engage key stakeholders and buying committee members (clinical operations, patient recruitment, medical affairs, vendor management/procurement, legal).
- Coordinate internal resources (delivery/ops, product, creative/content, analytics, clinical SMEs) to build winning solutions and execute handoffs.
- Maintain accurate CRM hygiene: activity tracking, pipeline stages, forecasting, close plans, and next steps.
Candidate Experience & Requirements
Required
- 5+ years in B2B sales / business development, with quota-carrying responsibility and consistent attainment.
- Proven success selling into pharma and biotech sponsors (ideally Clinical Ops, Patient Recruitment/Engagement, Medical Affairs, Vendor Management/Procurement).
- Experience with clinical trial services or adjacent solutions (patient recruitment/enrollment, retention, patient education, decentralized/hybrid support, site engagement, creative/content, digital campaigns, analytics).
- Strong track record building pipeline via outbound prospecting plus converting inbound/RFP leads.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals and navigate procurement/legal contracting.
- Familiarity with CRM discipline (Salesforce/HubSpot), forecasting, and stage-gate sales process.
